MORTON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

From a distance in the sky, the scene below didn't look like anything but lots of dust on the highway. Zooming into full view, a deadly looking picture emerged. A semi which looked like a mangled plastic truck flipped on its back with its wheels in the air.

"It's the worst one we've had in a little while," said Scott County Emergency Management Director, Alvin Seaney.

Seaney said the wreck happened about 4 A.M. Friday.

"He tried to miss a deer and lost control of his truck and ran off the road into the median, when he tried to bring it back up it rolled over with him," Seaney told WLBT News.

It didn't look like anyone would survive getting out of the crumbled semi. However, the driver, who didn't want to talk on camera survived and stuck around to take pictures. Emergency officials said the man that flipped over in the truck got out alive by climbing out of the window of the trucks cabin.

After the semi flipped, another 18 wheeler following it ran into the steel beams that fell on the highway. Casidy Bowers, the driver in the second truck also walked away without getting hurt.

"When I saw myself heading into the woods I was going I hope there isn't a big tree there," said Bowers.

Thankfully Bowers didn't hit any trees when his truck skid into the woods. He said he just walked out the truck okay.

"It feels good I'm glad to be alive," said Bowers.

The truck that flipped leaked hundreds of gallons of diesel fuel, but it didn't cause any problems.
