Larita Cooper-Stokes sworn in again

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Larita Cooper-Stokes was sworn in for the second time as Ward 3 Councilwoman Friday at Jackson City Hall.

Cooper-Stokes defeated Joyce Jackson in the election Tuesday.

A second election in the race was ordered after a trial was held on claims of irregularities in the first run-off election.

Cooper-Stokes was joined by her husband, Hinds County Supervisor Kenneth Stokes, and other supporters.
