Man charged with slapping child at daycare to appear in court

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The man responsible for slapping a kindergartner will appear before a judge for his crime.

Jamie Williams, 29, is scheduled in court Monday for simple assault charges on a child.

Williams walked into the Kiddie City Childcare Center in Vicksburg trying to find out how bite marks and bruises ended up on his one-year-old daughter.

When daycare workers were unable to answer the question, Williams said children pointed to the child who allegedly harmed his daughter. He then slapped a 6-year-old who was the wrong child.
