I wish I had good news that involved cooler temperatures, but sadly, I don't! In fact, heat advisories and heat warnings continue for most of the area. The warnings are in the delta counties, where heat indices will rise above 110-115 again on Tuesday. Elsewhere, heat indices will range from 105-110.
A few storms are possible any afternoon or evening this week. Also, in this type of pattern, we have to watch for any storms that develop to our north and west, as they may try to sneak into our area late at night. It is difficult to predict these storm complexes very far in advance, so checking back for updates is a good idea.
Any storms that move into our area will likely be strong and produce strong winds, hail, and heavy rain.
