This morning is was so muggy that the heat index started in Jackson at 88 degrees at 5:00am. So you can bet on the heat getting progressively worse during the daylight hours, expecting a high of 95 degrees. We also have a 30% chance of spot showers with winds west at 5-10 mph.
Tonight we are likely to see a few lingering spot showers; particularly in the eastern portions of the state. The heaviest of showers is likely to hit Alabama and counties along the MS/AL line. We'll still have a 20% chance of showers and T-Storms, and winds from SW 5 mph.
Tomorrow many of the forecasting models are indicating the heat will be on the increase, and the areas under a heat 'warning' will cover more area. Highs will reach to near 100 degrees, and the heat index likely to reach above 111+.
