Two men have pleaded guilty to carjacking an elderly man in Madison.
According to Madison County District Attorney Michael Guest, both Rashun Johnson and Jerome Van, Jr. pleaded guilty to armed carjacking, one count of armed robbery, and kidnapping.
Madison police say Johnson and Van forced a man into his car at gunpoint at the Walgreens at Highway 51 and Hoy Road. This happened in March.
The elderly victim escaped and was not hurt. Both Johnson and Van each received a 30-year sentence for kidnapping, 30 years for armed carjacking and 50 years with 20 years suspended for armed robbery. A third suspect, Thaddeus Henderson, has been indicted for accessory after the fact.
