If you think the outside of the St. Jude Dream Home is impressive, just wait until you walk inside.
"I finally get to open this beautiful home to the community it's been a long road to build the house," said Brian Stewart, a St. Jude Dream Home representative.
The nearly 4,000 square foot home opens for public tours Saturday. It's filled with lots of character and is described as having a rustic feel, combined with some country flavor. There are high ceilings, lots of brick, three fireplaces and a state of the art kitchen filled with granite and wooden countertops. But that's not all.
"Three bedrooms, 2 and a half baths, it's got a bonus room up above the garage, three car garage and beautiful hardwood floors," said Stewart.
The master bathroom inside of the Dream Home includes 2 sinks, a large tub and a shower which is probably big enough to fit an entire family.
"I promise if you go to any Las Vegas resort you're not going to find a nicer bathroom," Stewart told WLBT News.
The winner of the home will be in for a big treat
"You definitely can win it, it only takes one ticket," said Ryan Eaton, the winner of the 2011 Dream Home.
Buying a Dream Home ticket goes much further than just winning a new house.
"If they know they're giving back to help a child in need, that needs help for cancer then they're doing it for the right reason," said Maggie Eidt, the sister of a St. Jude patient.
"It's just amazing that someone would build a house just for St. Jude and for the patients at St. Jude," said St. Jude patient Wiley King.
You can win the Dream Home and help make a sick child's dreams come true for just $100. Dream Home tours will take place every weekend until the giveaway on September 16th. Saturday hours are 9 to 5 and Sunday hours are noon to 5.
The Dream Home is located in the Longleaf sub-division in Madison. The address is 100 Huckleberry Lane. For additional information call 800-371-6789.
