As promised, the hot and humid conditions are prevailing. We can thank the heat dome that is positioned over the southeast for continuing to bring on the heat. The shower and thunderstorm activity for this afternoon will diminish around sunset.
Over the next couple of days, the heat dome will continue to breakdown. This will give way to more shower and thunderstorm activity in our area for Sunday and the start of the work week. After Tuesday, the rain chances go back to 20% for the remainder of the week. Expect highs in the mid 90s and lows in the mid 70s.
