JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
A Jackson woman's home is burglarized and most of the stolen items are recovered less than 24 hours later.
Deenie Glass says a crow bar was used to pry open the back door of her Oxford Avenue home on Friday. A flat screen television and family heirloom jewelry were stolen. Checks, credit cards, and a wallet were also taken.
Saturday Glass said one of the suspects tried to cash a check for $400.00 and quick thinking by a clerk landed them in jail.
The clerk called Glass who then had someone call 911.
"There were probably seven or eight policemen there. They did the most amazing job. The Check into Cash girl was fantastic because she kept her cool. She kept him there for over 30 minutes," added Glass.
Glass says a female suspect was wearing some of her jewelry when she was arrested by police.
Investigators have not released any information about the burglary or arrests.
