JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A public hearing on the proposed saggy pants ordinance is scheduled during Monday's Hinds County Board of Supervisor's meeting.

At 8:30 A.M., members of the ACLU are expected to show their opposition to banning saggy pants in Hinds County.

Eight Mississippi cities recently banned saggy pants. Their ordinances prohibit anyone from wearing pants or skirts that ride more than three inches below the top of the hips and expose skin or underwear.

If the ordinance passes, offenders could be subject to community service versus a fine.
