
Numerous showers and storms, some strong, will continue through mid-evening before falling apart by or shortly after sunset. I can't rule out an isolated shower overnight, but most areas will remain dry for the overnight hours.
Shower and storm chances will return tomorrow afternoon, mainly over south Mississippi.
As for our temperatures, we'll continue to see lows in the 70s this week. High temperatures will be in the lower to middle 90s, with heat indices in the upper 90s to lower 100s.
Ernesto may become a weak hurricane before making landfall in Belize on Wednesday. Ernesto is not a threat to our coastline.
