New dorms open on Raymond campus of Hinds CC

RAYMOND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Hinds Community College in Raymond celebrated the opening of two new dorms Monday afternoon. 

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held in front of the women's residence hall on the southwest side of campus. 

Allen-Dukes-Whitaker Hall has 156 beds and the men's dorm, Riggs-Virden Hall, has 196 beds. 

The two 5-story buildings feature modern living spaces and cost approximately $15 million dollars. 

Fall classes start Monday, August 13.
