Casting calls are scheduled in Jackson and Canton for James Franco's film adaptation of the William Faulkner novel "As I Lay Dying."
The film will begin shooting in Canton at the end of August, according to Morgan Casting.
Franco is set to direct and act in the film.
All types of speaking roles are needed, including "country boys" who look 9-10 years old, women 16-25 years old, men in their 70s, and men and women in their 30s, according to Morgan Casting. Extras are also needed.
An open call is scheduled for this week in Canton at The Corner House, located at 252 Peace St. The open call is Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to Morgan Casting.
A casting call is also set for Wednesday at the New Stage Theatre in Jackson.
