A new clinical trial reveals steroids may not be effective in treating acute sinusitis.
Steroids -- like prednisone -- are often prescribed by doctors to relieve sinus pain and pressure when anti-biotics don't work.
But Canadian researchers found patients taking prednisone had no better results than patients who were given a placebo.
-Study led by researchers at University Medical Centre Utrecht (NETH) and published in 'Canadian Medical Association Journal'
