Wednesday's Child-Trayvion

Posted: Updated:

It is rare for us to have babies on Wednesday's Child but this week we do. 1 year old Trayvion is the youngest member of a sibling group of five. If you remember their sister did not want to participate in the taping. This week we learn more about Trayvion and watch him in action with his big brothers.

Trayvion is all smiles when he is with his big brothers. They are very protective and usually Trayvion is the life of the party.

"Okay we're ready to talk now."

Trayvion is not in daycare at this time. But being around his brothers he is learning to form one to three words. One of his favorite things is his sippy cup. Whatever he sees his brothers do, he tries to mimic it.

"Don't bite it, don't bite the ball."

Trayvion is independent. He feeds himself and social workers say he shows definite understanding of simple words. His foster parent says Trayvion has an excellent appetite and but so far does not appear to have a favorite food.

"I caught it."

At Pump It Up, Trayvion did not want to be left out of any of the fun. Although he was reluctant at first, he took on basketball. Trayvion is obviously very special to his brothers. Social workers say the boys would benefit from a two parent family.

All five children want to be adopted together, they don't even want to consider growing up without Trayvion. They are hoping that special family who is willing to take all of them will give them a permanent place to call home.

To learn more about adoption through the Department of Human Services call the Mississippi Adoption Resource Exchange at 1-800-821-9157.
