Two arrested in Kosciusko apartment shooting

KOSCIUSKO, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Two men are behind bars for shooting two men during an altercation at a Kosciusko apartment complex.

Kosciusko police Chief R.J. Adams says 19-year old Damario Young of Sallis, and 20-year old Keon Gilliam of McAdams were arrested Friday morning in the hours following the incident.

Both are being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

No bond has been set.

The shootings occurred at the Cannonade apartments in Kosciusko.

Two victims, 23-year old Carasmine Fleming and 20-year-old Jerome Young were airlifted to University Medical Center in Jackson.

Witnesses say they were shot in the chest and the head.

At least one of them is still in ICU.
