A Jackson neighborhood is shining after the 8th annual "Bright Lights, Belhaven Nights."
More than 3,000 folks lined the streets of Belhaven for a neighborhood block party.
Five stages of music entertained the crowds. There were also arts and crafts for sale.
Organizers say the end of summer tradition is an opportunity to showcase the area, its people, and the talented people who live there.
They also nearby construction is another reason there are good times in the neighborhood.
"The Fortification Street project, that's $15.5 million project and the Baptist building is close to $100 million. So, we are celebrating tonight to all the great the great things happening in our neighborhood," says Greater Belhaven Neighborhood Foundation Executive Director Virgi Lindsay.
The Greater Belhaven Neighborhood Foundation hosts the event each year.
