The discovery of a man's body inside a vehicle Saturday launched a homicide investigation in the city of Forest.
Scott County Coroner Joe Bradford said the 57-year-old Hispanic man was in a parked car in the driveway of his East First Street home.
He suffered a single gunshot wound to the upper torso and was pronounced dead around 11:45 Saturday morning.
The coroner believes the man may have been killed during the early morning hours before his body was discovered.
