ATTALA COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Firefighters in Attala County spent part of their morning putting out a business fire.

It happened just before 5 a.m. Sunday morning on Attala Road 1175 in the Williamsville Community.

The building was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived and there were fears the fire would spread to a home next door. It took about an hour before the fire was contained.

The owner of the building said he was thankful the flames didn't spread to the house, which he also owns as a rental.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.
