JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Two convictions for the Hinds County district attorney to report tonight.

A Terry man pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault stemming from a shooting inside a fast food restaurant in 2011.

Investigators say Shannon Sturgis shot his uncle, Malcolm Jones and a customer, Douglas Bishop, at the Waffle House on McDowell Road.

Sturgis and Jones had been arguing according to authorities.

He was sentenced to 15 years to serve on each count to run concurrently to each other.

And a Jackson man pleads guilty to aggravated assault related to a stabbing.

The Hinds County district attorney's office says Walter Bryant was then sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Authorities say Bryant stabbed his wife at their home in Jackson back in 2011.
