MEMPHIS, TN -
(WMC-TV) - The Elvis Presley 35th Anniversary Concert, which featured musicians who had the pleasure of performing with The King, was so powerful it brought fans to tears.
The most popular Elvis songs were played by the King himself on video, as his musician friends played their respective instruments live for the audience. The crowd even got a personal look into the King of Rock and Roll's spiritual side.
Some of the people who performed live as Elvis' videos played were the TCB Band, The Sweet Inspirations, former members of J.D. Sumner and The Stamps. The Memphis Symphony Orchestra was also there add to add the sweet sound of its strings to the mix.
The concert was perfectly timed and produced to make Elvis singing on video match up perfectly with the live components of the concert.
For the second day in a row, Elvis fans were welcomed and thanked by Priscilla and Lisa Marie Presley on stage. Home movies from their days as a family played behind them as they shared their gratitude for all of the support they received during Elvis Week.
Those who really wanted an up close and personal experience at the concert could opt for the VIP tickets, which included a pre-concert reception featuring a private welcome from Priscilla and Lisa Marie Presley.
Action News 5 is working to put together a slideshow from the concert for those of you who wanted to be there.
