JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
The man charged in a fatal stabbing Thursday at the Delhaven Manor Apartments has been denied bond.
Fifty-five-year-old Ed Burrell was arrested at the scene and charged with the murder of 50-year-old Gary Clincy. It happened shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday.
Both men lived at the Apartment complex.
Louise Smith, also a resident at Delhaven Manor, says she witnessed the stabbing.
Smith said Clincy had been "messing" with Burrell all morning and Burrell warned Clincy he would stab him to death if he continued to tease him.
She also said Clincy has been drinking and Burrell was not mentally stable.
This was Jackson's 45th homicide this year.
