One shot in north Jackson

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson police spokesperson Colendula Green has confirmed a man was shot Friday night in Jackson.

It happened in front of a shopping center on Northside Drive and Hanging Moss Road around 7:30 p.m.

We're told the victim transported himself to a local hospital. His condition is not known at this time.

No suspect is in custody at this time.

No word on what prompted the violence.
