Jackson resident linked to triple fatality in Virginia

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Jackson man has been arrested in Pulaski County, Virginia for reckless driving along with a variety of drug charges.

Authorities say John Parker, 32, was driving a Ford F-150 early Saturday morning on Route 21 in Wythe County when he crossed into the southbound lanes. Three people were killed in the three vehicle crash that followed. Five others were injured.

A search warrant on Parker's truck led to the discovery of a semi-automatic assault rifle, a significant quantity of methamphetamine, multiple containers and vials of prescription narcotics and various drug paraphernalia.

The crash remains under investigation by Virginia State Police.
