The return of the sunshine begins today with drier conditions expected over the next few days. Early morning fog may slow things down along highway 61 briefly, but dropping visibility to only 2 miles. Expect highs near 89 degrees, well below the norm for this time of the year.
Even the winds will cooperate in making it a milder feel this afternoon, pushing out of the NE 5-10mph.
Tonight high pressure will set us up for a fast drop in the overnight temps. We'll have limited clouds in place as the temps drop back to the 60s once again. Winds will be from the NE 5-10 mph.
Wednesday the sunshine kicks off again, the only concern may be the UV INDEX, which is expected to stay very high at "10" or above. High will be near 91 degrees with winds out of the NE 6-12 mph.
On another note, we'll keep a close eye on Tropical Depression #9 over the next few days. This system is expected to strengthen to a Category "2" hurricane as it approaches the Gulf of Mexico.
That means, by next week T. D. #9 could be a major hurricane targeting us; we'll keep you updated on the progress.
