A man received an 80-year sentence with the last 45 years suspended after he pleaded guilty to 10 counts of business burglary and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Madison and Rankin Counties' District Attorney Michael Guest announced Tuesday James I. Johnson received the sentence for a business burglary crime spree in the Ridgeland area that began September of 2011 and lasted until he was captured in February 2012.
Guest says Johnson broke into several businesses, stealing money, furniture and art work. He also confirms that Johnson has an extensive criminal history that dates back to the late 80s.
