JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Jackson police are investigating an accident involving an 18-wheeler and a pedestrian.
Officers were called to the scene around 6:25 Tuesday evening at Gallatin Street and the I-20 Frontage Road.
We are told a pedestrian was hit by the tractor trailer.
The victim was not on scene when our camera crew arrived.
The big rig blocked both the north and south bound lanes of traffic.
The truck, with a Shelton Trucking marking, was from Florida.
No word on details of this accident or condition of the pedestrian.
