Teenager arrested for shooting near high school

A Vicksburg teenager was arrested Tuesday morning after turning himself into police in connection to a shooting near Vicksburg High School.

Authorities say Mario Mixon, 18, is charged with seven counts of attempted aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied vehicle. 

The shooting occurred Aug. 17 at Drummond Street and Stadium Drive. 

Mixon is being held on a $225,000 bond.
