JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Isaac continues to intensify in the Gulf of Mexico as the storm churns to the northwest.
While the exact track and landfall of Isaac is still uncertain, many people continue to ask, "What can I expect?" Making a 100% accurate forecast is tricky with this particular storm system because of it's reputation so far.
However, I will attempt to share what could be possible for your area. Please note this is based on the current projected track of Isaac through the WLBT viewing area. All of these areas could also see quick spin up tornadoes Wednesday and Thursday.
Downed trees/power lines, power outages, 2"-4" of rain:

- Scott
- Smith
- Simpson
- Copiah
- Claiborne
- Jefferson
Widespread trees/power lines, trees on homes, power outages, 5"-10" of rain:
- Adams
- Franklin
- Lincoln
- Lawrence
- Jefferson Davis
- Covington
- Walthall
- Pike
- Amite
- Wilkinson
Here are the counties impacted by high winds in the WLBT viewing area. 30-40 mph sustained winds with gusts of 40-50 mph:

- Simpson
- Smith
- Jefferson
- Lincoln
- Lawrence
- Jefferson Davis
- Covington
- Walthall
- Pike
- Amite
- Wilkinson
Gusty winds of 25-30 mph:
- All counties along and north of I-20.
