Jackson police search for suspect in apartment shooting

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson police are investigating a shooting at an apartment complex on Bailey Avenue.

Officer Colendula Green says police were called to 1225 Bailey Avenue where a 19-year-old had been shot around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Green says the victim, whose identity was not released, was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not identified a suspect or motive for the shooting.
