HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

A portion of Highway 603 in Hancock County was completely covered with water Wednesday morning, and no one is able to pass through.

The intersection of Hwy 603 and Kiln-Waveland Cut-Off Road was impassable at 9am.

Most of the buildings along the roadway are homes or business that are raised off the ground, so flooding isn't surprising. Al Showers captured these photos of the area.

Hancock County is under a mandatory curfew until noon.
