CANTON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Entergy crews and linemen are arriving in Mississippi, to prepare to restore power after hurricane Isaac passes through. Nearly 7,000 Entergy employees and mutual aid workers are coordinating efforts.

The trucks are meeting in Canton for a de-briefing before moving south.

Bobby Shipp a Construction Supervisor with Entergy says, "We have groups of linemen who are very good at what they do, very experienced.  They were here during Katrina, Ike and many others and they know what to do."

The workers are coming from 12 different states, and as far away as Pennsylvania.  They plan to respond to parts of southern Mississippi and Louisiana once the hurricane passes.

Shipp says, "Normally we'll work 16 hours and then 8 hours rest, and continue that pattern until all the lights are restored."
