The Belhaven University football team received a big boost on Tuesday after signing former Southern Cal defensive back Isiah Wiley and Ole Miss offensive lineman Matt Hall.
Wiley saw action in 10 games for USC in 2011.
He finished with 39 tackles and four pass deflections as a junior.
Wiley will have one year of eligibility available.
"Isiah Wiley is a tremendous pickup for us and he reminds me a lot of one of our former players Tramaine Brock who is now in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers," said Belhaven head coach Joe Thrasher.
Hall started every game at right guard for Ole Miss in 2011.
He began his career at Arkansas.
He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
"Since joining our team he has definitely become part of our football family. Hall is a humble kid and has a ton of potential. He will solidify our offensive line and in pressure situations we can be confident in running behind him. I believe he is a big time talent who we will be seeing for years to come," said Thrasher.
Belhaven opens the 2012 season on September 1 at the University of the Cumberlands (KY).
Jefferson County Sheriff Peter Walker has identified the woman found dead in the cemetery of East Mount Olive Baptist Church Wednesday night.
