City of Jackson assists Hinds Co. with sandbag effort

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The City of Jackson and Hinds County are teaming up to make sandbags available to citizens.

Jackson is providing the sand to the county.

The Hinds County Sheriff's Department is providing inmates to bag the sand and the distribution of the sandbags will be coordinated by the Hinds County EOC.

Residents may call the Hinds County EOC at 601-960-1476.
