Power lines down overnight in Jackson

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Tropical Storm Isaac made an impact in Jackson overnight, with heavy rains and power lines down on President, Barksdale and Fortification streets.

Photographer Tracey James had a close call this morning as he captured a transformer flickering on President Street.

As soon as he walked away a power line fell and began popping like a firecracker.

The line continued to burn as Jackson Police blocked the street.
