Manhunt for burglary suspects ends with all captured

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

All four burglary suspects lawmen have been searching for since Friday morning, have been captured.

Hinds County Sheriff's Department spokesman Joe Daughtry said the mother of the last suspect turned her son, 19-year-old Dominique Straughter into authorities.

Also arrested, 20-year-old Derrick Bailey, 25-year-old Vernon Mallard and 19-year-old Courtney Grant.

All are charged with house burglary and Daughtry says they may be connected with other in Bolton/Highway 22 area.

Daughtry says deputies responded to a house burglary call in Raymond around 10 a.m. Friday.

They pulled over a small blue car Bill Downing Road off Highway 467; four males inside bailed out and fled into the woods.

Hinds County was assisted by Pearl Police, Madison County Sheriff's deputies and Raymond Police.

Sources tell 3 On Your Side, possible stolen goods were found inside the vehicle the four were traveling in.
