Jackson Zoo animals receive a cool treat

Animals at the Jackson Zoo received cool treats to beat the heat Saturday, to celebrate the Labor Day weekend.

Children enjoyed watching the otters and panthers play, and looked on as the spider monkeys were fed ice cubes made with Gatorade, corn, and bananas.

The treats are designed with the diet of each animal in mind.
