One killed, one injured in drive by shooting

ATTALA COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Attala County authorities are investigating a fatal drive by shooting.

According to Kosyonline.com, deputies responded to the scene sometime before noon Saturday on Attala Road 4202 or Youth Center Road.

Two people were found shot inside a silver SUV.

Attala County Sheriff Tim Nail said one person was pronounced dead at the scene and a second suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and is in critical condition.

The names of the shooting victims have not been released.

Sheriff Nail said one suspect, who is not being identified at this time, has been taken into custody.
