Secretary of Homeland Security to tour MS

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The head of Homeland Security will visit the Gulf coast and Louisiana Sunday.

Janet Napolitano will see firsthand the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac.

The Department of Homeland Security reports that she will meet with Governor Phil Bryant at 11:30 Sunday morning.

Napolitano will also meet local officials, first responders and volunteers at a fire station in Bay St. Louis.

Her next visit is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in Slidell, Louisiana.

The Secretary of Homeland Security will see ongoing response and recovery efforts and gather information for officials in Washington.
