Attala County authorities have identified the victims in Saturday's drive by shooting.
Sheriff Tim Nail said deputies were called to the scene just before noon Attala Road 4202 or Youth Center Road.
A passerby discovered a bullet riddled silver SUV on the rural roadway.
Twenty one year old Christopher Graham of Sallis was found fatally shot in the driver's seat.
His passenger, 21-year-old Derrick Hannah also of Sallis, was shot twice including a gunshot wound to the chest.
Hannah is in critical condition at University Medical Center.
On the day of the shooting investigators took 21-year-old Markeith Fleming into custody in connection with the shootings.
According to Sheriff Nail, bullet holes were discovered on the driver's side and front wind shield of the vehicle.
Fleming has not been officially charged, and no motive has been released.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigations and Mississippi Crime Lab are assisting.
