U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano spent her Sunday in south Mississippi talking with state and local officials about Isaac's damage and plans for the recovery process.
Leaders from Pearl River County all the way to Jackson County were able to speak with Secretary Napolitano, Governor Phil Bryant and members of the state's congressional delegation Sunday in Bay St. Louis to address any concerns regarding Isaac.
It was made clear that the federal government would stand by south Mississippi as they recover from the hurricane. And now that the storm has passed, the secretary wants victims to know there is help through FEMA.
The Secretary of Homeland Security and the governor also made another stop in south Mississippi, at a church to talk to the congregation.
