Boil water notice for Louisiana St. residents in Jackson

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Residents living on Louisiana Street in Jackson are being asked to boil their water for the time being.

The boil water notice affects about 15 customers.

The precautionary notice was issued because of a loss in pressure from water main and fire hydrant repairs.

Officials say you should bring tap water to a rolling boil for one minute if you plan on drinking it.

Residents will be notified when the notice is lifted.
