JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Police are investigating a Labor Day shooting at a northeast Jackson apartment complex.
Officers were called to the Crossings at Ridgewood just before lunchtime Monday. The apartments are located on Ridgewood Road between Adkins Boulevard and Plantation Boulevard.
When police arrived, a black Toyota Camry had crashed into a metal fence at the complex.
A witness said someone had fired a gun at the Camry from an SUV. At least one person was taken from the scene in an ambulance.
There's no word from police on exactly what prompted the shooting, or if they have any suspects.
