Hinds County man killed by train

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A 46-year-old Hinds County man was struck and killed by a train early Thursday morning.

Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart said it happened in Edwards about 2:20 a.m.

Stewart identified the victim as David Scott Shultz. She says he was intoxicated and down on the tracks when he was hit.

Stewart said Shultz died from blunt force trauma.
