JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
A gun was fired at the Jackson Gun Show Saturday, but no one was injured.
A staff member tells WLBT the hand gun went off after someone picked it up inside the crowded Jackson Trade Mart.
The small caliber bullet hit a table. The vendor who had the weapon was kicked out and banned from participating in future shows. Paperwork was filed, but it doesn't appear any criminal act was committed.
Signs are clearly posted at the entrance prohibiting loaded weapons inside the Trade Mart.
Security was also on duty at the event.
The show continued as normal without incident.
