Sunny days and Mondays aren't so bad

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The presence of high pressure in the eastern half of the country is helping us to reap great benefits in the deep south. Sunshine is the main feature for today, and staying mild too, highs in the mid 80s. The winds will move out of the northeast at 5-10 mph.

The break in the heat will also make for very mild, if not cool, overnight periods and conditions. Temps will fall back to the mid to lower 50s. Additionally, the winds will stay light and variable under clear skies. The combination of all these conditions will help cause a quick drop in temps during the overnight.

Tuesday will stay very similar to Monday, in light of the abundance of sunshine for the entire day. There's a slight chance of a few additional 'clouds' but rain is not in the forecast. A slight chance in the winds pushing out of the southeast at 5-10 mph. Temps are expected to stay in the mid to upper 80s. No real threat of rain until the weekend.
