RIDGELAND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Ridgeland firefighters are hosting the "Run to Remember" starting at 8:15 Tuesday morning. Firefighters and other emergency personnel will run from Ridgeland's Central Fire Station to Ann Smith Elementary School and back to the fire station.
The run is a memorial to September 11th victims. During the run participants will carry a bag with the names of the thousands who lost their lives during the World Trade Center attack. Participants will also carry a flag with all of the names of the emergency responders who died on September 11 2001.
The public is invited to come out to the "Run to Remember." The Ridgeland Central Fire Station is located at 456 Towne Center Boulevard in Ridgeland.
