A man is in custody following a chase that ended on the Interstate 55 northbound ramp to Interstate 220 south near Countyline road.
It started in the reservoir area, where a silver Pontiac Grand Am would not pull over.
The car headed west on Lakeland drive, then onto I-55 north to Madison county.
Officers finally stopped the car on the I-220 flyover. Reservoir patrol chief Perry Waggoner says the driver was a minor, and was taken to the Rankin county juvenile justice facility.
He is being charged with felony eluding, wreckless driving, disregard for a traffic device, no insurance and no tag.
A state trooper's Tahoe was damaged by the fleeing driver.
A passenger in the car was not charged.
