You're invited to the National Night Out kick-off celebration - MSNewsNow.com - Jackson, MS
It's not the weekend yet, but you're invited to a big party tonight! The Hinds County Sheriff's Department is setting up for its National Night Out kick-off celebration.
The event will take place on the outside patio of the Hinds County Sheriff's Department. Dozens of tables are already set out in preparation for the numerous vendors who'll be serving free food.
Most importantly though, National Night Out is a chance to show criminals that neighborhoods and law enforcement are working together to fight crime. It's also a chance to meet your community leaders.
"We're going to have a lot of public officials, elected officials here as well, but you'll have a chance to meet your sheriff, Sheriff Tyrone Lewis and the staff of the Hinds County Sheriff's Department" said Captain Joseph Daughtry. "We're going to be here so you can put a face with the name."
The Hinds County Sheriff's Department is located at 407 East Pascagoula Street in downtown Jackson. The festivities start at 5:30 P.M.
