Dollar General won't share, 9/11 anniversary forgotten?

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Here is a situation that makes no sense. A local woman was shopping few weeks ago in the Dollar General on McDowell Road. Suddenly a girl ran up and grabbed her purse and then a man pulled her billfold from it and they took off out the door.

The store has surveillance video. The victim and officers viewed the video. But here is the catch. Dollar General won't release it to police so they can catch the culprits.

JPD says generally stores cooperate by releasing video to police. This makes no sense.

Now this. Tuesday was the 11th anniversary of 9/11, a day America will remember forever. Flags were flown at half staff that day at government buildings all over the city.

Well, not exactly all. The city of Jackson chose not to acknowledge  this date. Or maybe they just forgot.

Either way, city hall needs to never let this happen again.

That's my point of view.
